MOTTER, Lynette Jo - Of Flint, age 64, died Sunday, November 26, 2023 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Kevin Jacobi Klann officiating.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 10am Saturday, December 9, 2023 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lynette was born in Flint, Michigan on September 21, 1959, the daughter of Harold “Tom” and Dorothy “Jean” Bailey. She graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School in Mt. Morris, Class of 1977. During her high school years, she played the flute and piccolo in the high school band. Lynette married Ed Motter on October 6, 1984 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2000. She retired as a Transportation Supervisor for the Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools after 34 years of service. Lynette enjoyed crafts, especially sewing, cooking, her dog Cooper and spending time with her family.
Surviving are daughter, Andrea and husband Joe Bigham of Flint and her grand-dog, Luna;
son, David and wife Laura Motter of Columbiaville;
grandchildren, Chaz and wife Kayla Motter of Davison, Britnee and husband Phil Hodgeson of Burton;
great-granddaughters, Willow Motter, Nova Hodgeson and one on the way;
sister, Cody Smith of Georgia;
special niece, Rebekah and husband Shaun Parsons of Richmond, VA;
sister-in-law, Jerry Liebengood of Mt. Morris and her beloved dog, Cooper;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, her parents, Tom and Jean Bailey.
