Age 82, passed peacefully on May 29, 2026, in Flint, Michigan. Born on June 4, 1943, in Flint, Michigan. She spent her entire life in the community she loved. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Brenda’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.
Brenda was the cherished daughter of Stella and John Kowalski and grew up alongside her siblings, Jerry (Cathy) Kowalski, Linda (Dennis) Gocha, and her late sisters, Phylis and Jan. She married the love of her life, Bradford Klingler, with whom she shared many wonderful years before his passing.
Brenda found immense joy in her family. She is remembered by her sons, Phillip (Jennifer) and Scott (Joanne) Klingler. Her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ernest, Grant, Ava, Liam, Abigail, and Phillip Jr. along with great grand children, Ernest Jr. and Edgar, they were a source of great pride and happiness for her. Brenda also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed many years with her long time neighbor and friend, Robert Irrer.
In her later years, Brenda worked at Memories Antique Mall, where she delighted in visiting with customers and sharing her passion for antiques. Her genuine interest in others made her a valued presence among colleagues and patrons alike.
At home, Brenda found peace and fulfillment in gardening and decorating. Her home was a reflection of her creativity and care, a sanctuary filled with beauty.
Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Brad; her parents, Stella and John; and her sisters, Phylis and Jan.
She was proud to live many years independently. May Brenda’s resilience, tenacity and creativity continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. |
