SIMPSON, Bonnie Jean (Beard) – of Otisville, MI, age 75, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bonnie and Michael’s Lives will be held on a later date.
Bonnie was born in Owosso, MI on March 14, 1950, daughter of the late Clay and Charlotte Beard. Bonnie married the love of her life, Michael Simpson, on March 30, 1968. Together, they built a beautiful life, and though Michael preceded her in death on July 8, 2020, their love and memories continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew them. A devoted wife and mother, Bonnie found great joy in nurturing her family. As a grandmother, she became the heart and soul of family gatherings, offering boundless love, wisdom, and care. Her grandchildren will forever remember her warm hugs, her infectious laughter, and the endless joy she brought into their lives. Bonnie was an avid gardener, with a particular passion for floral gardening. She took great pride in creating beautiful, vibrant spaces that brought beauty and peace to her home. Her love for nature was matched only by her love for her family, and she enjoyed attending countless sporting events and activities, cheering on her children and grandchildren with unwavering support. Bonnie had a zest for life, enjoying travels with family and indulging in relaxing spa treatments. Her hospitality was unmatched, and she was well known for her famous pot roast, a recipe she perfected over the years and shared generously with loved ones. Her knack for decorating for the holidays and her love for shopping brought a sense of joy and warmth to every occasion. Above all, Bonnie cherished time spent with family. Her greatest happiness was in the simple moments: shared laughter, heartfelt conversations, and the love that filled her home. Bonnie's legacy is one of love, kindness, and devotion. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, Bonnie. Your love and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved you most.
Bonnie is survived by 3 children, Michael “Mick” (Kimberly) Simpson, Jr., Troy (Amy) Simpson, Sr. and Shannon (Charlie) Waters; 6 grandchildren, Jacob (Sam) Simpson, Morgan (Jared Everhart) Simpson, Troy (Melissa) Simpson, II, Justin (Nomi) Simpson, Zachery (Sophie) Simpson and Jack (Zoe Ball) Kreucher; 5 great-grandchildren, Owen, Emilia, Hazel, Elias and Evelyn; 3 siblings, Ruth (Dale) Simpson, Mike (Connie) Beard and Greg (Janet) Beard; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Charlotte Beard; husband, Michael Simpson, Sr. and brother, Hershel Herrick.
