PECK, Julia (Ferchak) - age 97 of Flint, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, April 5, 2025 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church located at 2143 S. Center Road, Burton, Michigan. The family will receive guests at the church from 10 AM Saturday until the time of service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Julia to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church (www.saintnicholasburton.org).
Julia was born on July 5, 1927 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late John and Mary (Marko) Ferchak. She graduated from Flint Northern High School and worked as a Teacher's Aid for many Flint Area Schools. Julia enjoyed antiquing, was very involved with her church and sang in the choir and she had a passion for religion. Julia was very proud of her Eastern European heritage, she never met a stranger and she fiercely loved her family and friends, caring for many over the years.
Surviving is her daughter, Sandy Taylor of Flint; Grandson, Christopher Taylor of Flint; Niece, Janice Slosar; and brother-in-law, Rev. Claude Vineyard & family. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jerome Peck.
