GEJOFF, Elaine Lillian - Age 91, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, October 8, 2025 St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, 2439 S. Long Lake Road, Fenton. Fr. Paisios Hamann officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Dormition of the Mother of God Monastery Cemetery, Rives Junction. Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday from 4-8 PM, where a Paristasis service will be held at 7 PM; and Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contribution to St. Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, St. George Orthodox Church or St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
Elaine was born August 17, 1934 in Detroit, the daughter of Herbert A. and Josephine A. (Mushynski) Fergin. She married Louis Gejoff July 17, 1965 in Detroit and he preceded her in death June 6, 2003. She had resided in Swartz Creek since 2000 coming from Fenton. She retired in 1995 from Carver, Inc in Detroit. Elaine was a member of St .Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church in Fenton; and had attended St. George Orthodox Church in Flint and St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Burton.
Survived by sister Eunice Halvorson, Cedars Rapids, Iowa, nieces Sheryl (Vacca), Sue Ellen (Turley), Nora (Hopkins) and nephew Peter Halvorson; and "Baba" to Brooke Gejoff (AZ) and Brittania Hebeler (PA), and great-grandchildren Caden, and namesakes Jacob Louis and Elaina Hebeler; her cherished step-family; and her church family and friends, who loved her dearly.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Herbert Fergin
