KETTER, Mary Ellen - Of Las Vegas, formerly of Flint, age 88, died Monday, May 28, 2018 in Las Vegas.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton.
Fr. Steve Anderson officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church or Eastern Michigan Food Bank.
Visitation 4-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Wednesday at church until the time of the Mass.
Mary was born in Flint on December 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Ray Vanover and Anna Burene. On December 2, 1961, she married Jerry Ketter and he preceded her in death on December 31, 2010. Mary was employed in the Accounts Receiving Department at AC Spark Plug. She also worked for American Greeting Cards. Mary was a long-time member of Holy Redeemer and Ainsworth Athletic Boosters. She enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Surviving are children, Jody (Mike) Hamilton of Ann Arbor, Michigan and David (Denise) Ketter of Parker, Colorado;
grandchildren, Michael (Carrie) Hamilton of Ann Arbor, Allison, Samantha, Katherine and JosefDavid, all of Parker, Colorado;
great-grandchildren, Corrin, Caleb, Lindsay and Alexis;
great-great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Kinsley;
sisters, Rosie (Sonny) Hall and Stephanie Kreklau;
and special friend, Glenna Beaver.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, brothers, John and Manuel Hernandez and sisters, Pauline Hernandez and Joann Clutts.
