Connie Sue Tew, 67, of Owosso, Michigan, passed away on February 18, 2026.
She was born in Owosso and spent her life in the community she knew and loved.
Connie was known for her talkative nature, warm heart, and vibrant personality. A true social butterfly, she seemed to know everyone and never met a stranger. She worked for Owosso Public Schools for many years before retiring, and she was proud of the hard work and dedication she gave throughout her career. Above all else, Connie adored her grandbabies and cherished every moment spent with her family.
Connie enjoyed playing board games and, most of all, spending time with family and friends, which she considered her favorite pastime. Her favorite color was orange, and she loved collecting all things orange. She was also a devoted football fan and could often be found cheering on her favorite teams - Alabama, the Michigan State Spartans, and the Detroit Lions.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, George and Eleanor Samples; her father, Delano “Frank” Tew; her stepmother, Barbara Tew; her cherished aunt, Lois Callard; and several other aunts and uncles who passed before her.
She is survived by her mother, Diane Ross, and stepfather, Doug Ross; her son, Travis Tew, and his wife, Brandi; her beloved grandbabies, Jalen, Marriah, Laeni, Aybre, Blake, and Samantha; and her siblings, Lisa and Ron Mayer, Frank (Lisa) Tew, and John Tew. She is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson-House Funeral Home in Owosso. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Nelson-House Funeral Home. |
