SOLARZ, Nancy Ann – of Clio, MI, age 73, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Friday, August 29, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Private inurnment in Oregon Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Friday, August 29, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Nancy’s memory.
Nancy was born in Flint, MI on August 31, 1951, daughter of the late Chester and Sophie (Lunkas) Solarz. Nancy was a graduate of Kearsley High School, Class of 1969. She went on to build a long and meaningful career with State Farm Insurance at the Flint Claim Center, where she dedicated over 25 years of service before her retirement. Nancy had a kind and gentle spirit, and she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family and friends, often gathered around the table for card games or board games filled with laughter and good-natured competition. Creative at heart, she enjoyed crafts and cross-stitching, pouring patience and love into every detail. Traveling brought her happiness, as did peaceful walks that allowed her to enjoy the beauty of the world around her. At home, her beloved animals held a very special place in her heart, providing companionship and comfort throughout her life. Nancy will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared so freely. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Nancy is survived by 2 siblings, Maryanne Solarz and Matthew Solarz; sister-in-law, Linda Solarz; 2 nephews, Chester Andrew (Kara) Solarz and David Solarz; great-niece, Gracie Solarz; 3 great-step-nephews, Grant (Megan) Polmanteer, Seth (Rachel) Polmanteer and Mason Polmanteer; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Sophie Solarz; 2 siblings, Chester Solarz, Jr. and Lillian Solarz and special aunt, Betty Weiler.
