EICKHOFF, Larry J. – Of Burton, age 90, died Friday, August 22, 2025 at Marquette Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Larry was born in Flint, Michigan on February 20, 1935, the son of the late Ginter and Fleeta (Richardson) Eickhoff. On April 14, 1956, he married Patricia Baumgart in Flint, Michigan and she preceded him in death on October 11, 2024. He was inducted into the Greater Flint Football Hall of Fame as a Quarterback. Larry was employed with AC Spark Plug as a Tool Maker for more than 46 years. He was a member of Davison First Baptist Church for many years and also an Elks member for 54 years. Larry enjoyed golf, deer hunting and spending time up north at his cabin in Au Gres. Larry also enjoyed traveling to his home in Rogersville, Tennessee.
Surviving are children, Thomas (Donna), Timothy (Patty) and Michael (Karen);
grandchildren, Josh (Regan), Jason, Donny (Alexandra), Keri (Andrew), Sarah (Timothy), Ryan (Johnna), Lindsay (Brian), Leandra (Jack), Daniel, Laura (Eren), David (Emily) and James;
19 great-grandchildren;
and brother, Duane (Kay) from Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by grandson, Brian and brothers, Devaun (Betty) and Clifford (Betty).
