BELLINGER, Bruce – age 83 of Grand Blanc, MI (formerly of Fenton, MI), passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 from 2PM-4PM and again from 6PM-8PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11AM with one hour of visitation prior at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Rd. Grand Blanc, MI. Rev. Jim Britt of Calvary United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park. Bruce was born May 1, 1932 in Flint, MI to the late Madison and Norah (Rolfe) Bellinger. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He married Patricia Farrington on June 8, 1952. Bruce worked as an electrician for most of his life, in the U.S. Coast Guard, later on as an electrical inspector for the City of Flint. Eventually he began his own business, Bellinger Electric. More recently, he worked as an electrician/skilled trades for General Motors before his retirement in the late 90’s. Surviving are his children; Bonita (Paul) Drevon, Bruce (Sylvia) Bellinger Jr., Brian (Lisa) Bellinger, and Suzanne (Matthew) Marx; grandchildren, Sarah Drevon, Megan Bellinger, and Marissa Bellinger; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Bellinger in May of 2005; and brother, Robert Bellinger. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in Bruce’s memory to a Charity of One’s Choice. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.brownfh.com. |
