REYNOLDS, MARY A. – of Burton, MI, age 93, passed away on October 11, 2026. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospitals.
Mary was born in Flint, Michigan, on April 9, 1933, the daughter of the late Walter and Maybelle (Wentworth) Majeski. She married Robert Arthur Reynolds I, who preceded her in death in May 1988.
For many years, Mary proudly served with Burton City elections, contributing her time and dedication to her community. Mary enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including playing bingo, shopping at yard sales for glassware, and going out to eat, especially at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time at the family cabin in Tawas, where she made many treasured memories. Christmas was Mary’s favorite holiday and she embraced all of the activities including decorating, baking cookies, putting together giftbags, and making a nice family meal. Above all else, Mary’s family was the center of her world. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. A caring and loyal friend, Mary was always ready to lend a helping hand, especially during life’s most difficult moments. Whether someone was facing an illness or grieving the loss of a loved one, she often showed her love through the simple but meaningful gesture of preparing food and making sure others were cared for. Her generosity, thoughtfulness, and willingness to be there for others were a true reflection of her loving heart. Mary will be remembered for her devotion to family, her steadfast friendships, and the countless ways she quietly showed kindness to others. Her loving presence and generous spirit touched many lives, leaving behind cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
Mary is survived by her children: Deborah (Michael) Reeser, Brian (Michelle) Reynolds and Kathleen Reynolds; grandchildren: Keith (Nikki) Reynolds, Jake (Siarah) Reeser, Kyle (Hope) Reeser and Breanna (Nick) Cokewell; great grandchildren: Ruby Reeser, Roman Reeser, Elliott Cokewell; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by son, Robert Arthur Reynolds II; great grandson, Elijah Cokewell, and her brother, Charles Mizrock.
