Glen loved his Lord Jesus and his family with all his heart. He also loved his cat and companion, Angel. Glen was a lifelong member of Berean Baptist Church, where he began attending at the age of 7. When he was 17 years old, Glen accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized. He was a member of the church choir and bowling league for many years. Glen had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to sing to anyone who would listen. He started singing in a high school Barbershop Quartet and continued it for many years after. Glen loved to roller skate in his younger years and loved sports, especially the Detroit Tigers. He was a member of the Michigan National Guard and Reserves, where he served during the devastating Beecher tornado in 1953. Glen worked at the Flint Post Office carrying mail for 40 years, until his retirement in 1992.

Left to cherish Glen’s memory are his son, Craig (of whom he was very proud) and wife, Debbie Carlton; beloved daughter, Juanita (his Nita Pop) Carlton; former spouse and friend, Annie Mae Carlton; grandchildren, Jamie (Kristi) Compton, Jenny (Matt) Mooney, Jarod Glen (Courtnea) Carlton, Jessica Anne (Dan) Huber; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughters; sister-in-law, Elaine Carlton; several nieces, nephews, and special friends, Ronald Busch, Michelle McKay and Patricia Drew.

Waiting in heaven for Glen are his parents; brothers, little Max, Wayne, Elwyn, and Gerald Carlton; great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Mooney; great-grandson, Samuel Huber; and special friend, Diana Busch.

Glen’s family would like to extend many thanks to McLaren Hospice-Davison for their tender care during his final days.
