AUSTIN, Jason H. – of Davison, MI, age 104, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date.
Jason was born in Flint, Michigan on February 20, 1921, son of the late Jason Herbert and Nora (Green) Austin. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1938. He married Helen Lee on February 21, 1942. He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the Army from May 1944 to May 1946. Jason retired from Buick as a Buyer in 1980 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Retired Men’s Fellowship of Greater Flint, where he enjoyed the fellowship and the friends he made. He thoroughly enjoyed assembling model airplanes, many of which were World War II models, leaving one still in progress. He was an avid reader and always had a joke to tell.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Jill Chupek; grandson, Jason Chupek; and many dear nephews, nieces, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; son, Thomas (Helen) Austin of Sacramento, California.
The family wishes to thank Charter Assisted Living for the special care they took of him and to his nephew, Don Austin; for his unfailing support. Also, thanks to all the many special family and friends who were near and dear to him. He loved you all.
