Marjorie Beatrice “Bea” Coad, of Flint, Michigan, age 91, died Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church in Flushing. Pastor Ron Scott will officiate. Burial to follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be at Rossell Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 17 and 10 a.m. Friday at the church until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
Bea was born in Flint, Michigan on October 17, 1929 to Monroe and Goldie (McKinney) Morgan. She graduated from Flushing High School in 1947. Bea married Howard Coad in Flint, Michigan on October 21, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2006. Bea loved to garden. She enjoyed giving back to her community through her volunteer work. Bea volunteered with the Red Cross for 27 years, volunteered at Carman-Ainsworth schools and at her church, Trinity Baptist.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Chris) Schneider; grandchildren, Alicia (William) Walton and Amber (Kevin) Yates; great-grandchildren, Evee Walton, Liam Walton, Aurora Walton, Bentley Yates, and Jaxton Yates; sister, Ruby Penoyer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; son, Dennis Coad; siblings, Raymond Morgan and Betty Lentz; and her parents. |
