SCHERFF (ROY) Phyllis Jean of Davison age 79 died Thursday June 30, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday July 2, 2011 at Calvary Presbyterian Church 6100 Richfield Rd. Flint. Rev. Peter Scriebner officiating. Burial in Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 3-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Phyllis will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Saturday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Phyllis’s memory to the Parkinson Foundation. Phyllis was born in Flint Michigan April 21, 1932 the daughter of the late; Orville & Therma (Paterson) Hill and has resided in the Davison area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Jack Roy November 10, 1950 and he preceded her in death December 11, 1982. She was joined in marriage to Philip Scherff October 11, 1986; she was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and UAW Local #651. Phyllis was employed by General Motors AC Spark Plug Division for over thirty-one years retiring in 1981. Surviving are, husband, Philip, children, Dennis & Nancy Roy, Brian & Susan Roy, Kenneth & Cheryl Roy, and John Scherff; Grandchildren, Evan, Mac, Scott, Kevin, Christina, Chad, Josh, Jennifer, and Peggy; Great Grandchildren, Logan, and Lloyd. Brothers, Don & Louise Hill, Larry Hill, sisters, Deanna Shannon, Sharron McCreedy and a host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by brother, Ron Hill, stepfather, Melvin Greaves, stepmother, Alverta Hill. Share your condolences at www.hansenfunralhome.
