COCKERILL, Carolyn E. – of Davison, age 83, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at Living Joy Assisted Living in Flushing. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint Street, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Interment will be in Davison Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 10 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Humane Society of Genesee County, in Carolyn’s memory.
Carolyn was born in Flint, MI on December 29, 1941, daughter of the late Clyde and Nettie (Stork) Cockerill. She was very devoted to her faith and family. Carolyn loved her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed working at General Telephone Company and later sewed for a medical company for many years. Carolyn loved her sports, “Go Lions” and watching the Detroit Tigers and golfing. She was Elvis’s biggest fan.
Carolyn is survived by her sister, Joyce Lynn of TX; many special nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, brothers, Harold, Ernie, Russell and Kenneth; sisters, Dora and Lucille; companion dog, Midnight. The family would like to give a special thank you to Living Joy Assisted Living staff for all of their care.
