Gerald was born October 15, 1936, in Clio, Michigan, to the late Donald and Viola (Sedlow) Long. He was affectionately known as “Papa” and “Grandpa Lake” by many and “Whipper-Snapper” by a few. Jerry was famous for his fantastic sense of humor, practical jokes, and fairytale love for his sweetheart who he met at a square dance in 1959. “Who squeezed whose hand first?” is still a family mystery! He leaves a wonderful legacy of a life well lived. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
