REAVES, Raymond R. – Of Swartz Creek, age 83, died Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries.
Memorial visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 12 noon Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Raymond was born March 27, 1934 in Paragould Arkansas. The only child of Mildred E. Reaves, he lived in Flint MI and graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1951.
He served in the U. S. Navy from 1956-58.
Raymond married Marilyn J. Isham on April 19, 1958 in Chicago, IL.
He retired from General Motors Corp in 1992 and had been living in Swartz Creek since 2000.
He was preceded in death by loving wife Marilyn in April 2017, and by daughter-in-law Tammy Reaves in 2010.
He is survived by son Mark Reaves and girlfriend Debbie Lengyel of Swartz Creek, daughter Nancy and husband Jerry Davis of Linden, son Michael of Swartz Creek; grandchildren Krista and husband Eric Weaver of Cedarburg, WI, Raymond Reaves and girlfriend Lisa Vidican of Chicago, IL, Mallory and Mitchell Davis of Linden; great-granddaughter, Everly Rae Weaver.
