Robert Frederick Enders, 92, a lifelong resident of Flint, died Saturday, May 25, 2019.
Robert was born October 18, 1926 in Flint, Michigan to Adam and Margaret (Frisorger) Enders. He graduated from Flint Central High School, class of 1945. Bob served his country proudly in the Merchant Marines and the US Army. Bob went on to earn his bachelors in counseling from Michigan State University (GO GREEN !). Bob worked for Flint Community School s in various administrative capacities for twenty-five years. Most of his career was spent as the Executive Director of Big Brothers program. Bob was a competitive table tennis player for many years and competed in sixteen different countries. Bob was also a longtime photographer and an accomplished tennis player. He was a long term member of the Flint Tennis Club and an avid runner through the years.
Robert is survived by two daughters: Rise (Kent) Kneip of Gilbert, AZ and Gina (Michael) Stenner of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren: Andy, Nicholas and Zachary; beloved friend and companion, Mollie Jones of Flushing. Bob was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents and three siblings: David, Millie and Clara.
A memorial service will be held in the near future. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, cremation services have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice or the American Heart Association.
