HEAL, Margaret K. (Dunsmore) – of Flint, age 71, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, March 2, 2026, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery – Hadley, MI. The family will welcome visitors 4-7 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the funeral home and again on Monday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, in Margaret’s memory.
Margaret was born on May 10, 1954, in Goodrich, Michigan, the cherished daughter of the late Delbert N. and Christina (Gibson) Dunsmore. On August 27, 1971, she married the love of her life, Henry Heal, Jr., in Davison, Michigan. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to devotion and partnership until his passing on July 19, 2014. Margaret found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She had a special gift for knitting and crocheting, lovingly creating sweaters and handmade treasures for her family. Her gardens were a source of pride and peace, and she also enjoyed woodworking. When she was younger, she had a deep love for horses, even teaching her children how to ride. Above all, Margaret adored her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Margaret is survived by her loving children: Crystal (Eric) Jacobsen and Henry Heal; grandchildren: Mary-Catherine Jacobsen, Ethan Jacobsen and Jarod Heal; great granddaughter, Elliot Catherine Jacobsen; siblings: Audree Eckel, Jim (Debbie) Dunsmore, Fred (Mary) Dunsmore, Delberta (Gordon) Ritchie, Tom Dunsmore; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by siblings: Ed (Sharon) Dunsmore, Carol Abel and Barb (Mac) McClara.
