Charles “Chuck” Quaderer of Chesaning, MI passed away on March 12, 2015 in Las Vegas, NV after a brief illness.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Michael’s Church of Maple Grove with Father Byrne officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 9:00pm on Friday, April 10 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel; a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be prayed at 8:00pm.
Chuck was born on July 17, 1941 to Louis and Olive (Indlekofer) Quaderer in Maple Grove, MI. He graduated from St. Michael’s School in 1959 and married Sally Hegler in 1963. Chuck and Sally enjoyed over 51 years of marriage together. Chuck retired from GM as a millwright with Malleable Iron Powertrain in Saginaw after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #2943 and served on the Twin Brooks Golf Course board for 13 years. His many hobbies and interests included: spending time at their cottage in Lake City, traveling around the U.S., visiting casinos, golfing, following his granddaughters on the JV and Varsity St. John’s High School golf teams, eating countless ice cream cones with his granddaughters because “ice cream is mandatory” and attending New Lothrop High School sporting events with his buddies. He always said “no black” at his funeral-he wanted bright colors and casual clothes/golf shirts!
He leaves behind his wife, Sally, son Brian (Denise) and their two daughters, Mikayla and Lauren, his daughter, Becky (John) DeFeo, sisters Rita Trepkowski, Delores (Floyd) Maday, Eloise (Bob) Anderson, Mary Ellen (Jack) Symons, brothers Louie (Nancy) Quaderer, Jim (Pat) Quaderer, Tom (Sue) Quaderer, brother-in-laws Rolan (Alice) Birchmeier, Ed Maday, and Bernie Maday. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and all of his very special friends who he loved to travel, golf and attend sporting events with.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, his in-laws, Gordon and Viola Hegler, his sisters Joan Birchmeier, Evelyn Maday, Helena Maday and Christina Littlejohn as well as his brother-in-law, Leonard Trepkowski.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Twin Brooks Golf Course in Chesaning or the Mills Family Fund.
