Kathleen Kottke, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on October 5, 1958, Kathleen's life was a tapestry woven with passion, family, and the joy of simple pleasures. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was her pride and joy, including her children Tom (Betty) Harwood, Amanda (Gary) Haworth, Luke (Courtney) Kottke, and Jason Haworth; her siblings Irma Rams, Kalleen Swain, Susanne Brown, Cynthia Harwood, Nancy Welch, Sharon Swoish, Perry Harwood, and Lori Harwood; and her adored grandchildren Hannah, Jonah, Moriah, Sophia, Promise, Samara, Hope, Jacob, Kirk, Maximus, and great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Isacc, and Francis.

Kathleen's journey began in the heart of Lake Orion, where she attended school. Her spirit shone brightly through her active involvement at the Davison Senior Center, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity.

Her interests painted a picture of a woman who found beauty and happiness in the world around her. Kathleen was known for her signature red lipstick kisses—a mark of her affection that family and friends would wear with pride and sometimes embarrassment. She was an avid bowler, a skilled seamstress, and an enthusiastic collector of owls and dolls. Her favorite color, yellow, reflected her sunny disposition and the light she brought into every room.

Kathleen's love for her family was unparalleled. She relished in the time spent with her grandchildren, imparting wisdom, laughter, and, most importantly, love. Her presence at family gatherings was the cornerstone of many cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kirk Kottke, her dear parents, Walter and Lillie “Irma”, and her siblings Nicki, Charles, Linda, and Tony. Kathleen's legacy of love and compassion continues through her family, who will carry her spirit forward in their hearts and actions.

Those who knew Kathleen will remember her as a loving and passionate soul, always putting others before herself. Her selfless nature was a true testament to the kind of person she was, and it is this essence of Kathleen that will be deeply missed by all.
