LAKIES, PHILLIP HARLAN age 80, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Genesys Convalescent Center, Grand Blanc, MI. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Phillip was born February 8, 1934 in Flint, MI to parents Ernest and Doris (Ecklund) Lakies. He was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt, fish and snowmobile. Phil was a member of the Grand Blanc Sportsman's Club, the Frankenmuth Conservation Club and lifetime member of the N.R.A. He was owner and operator of Lakies Electric Co. Phil served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are children Kellie (Luke) Deming, Kim (Jim) Beckman, Kara Lakies; grandchildren Bryan Lussier, Dr.Jamie (Trevor) Arnold, Lily Deming, Chyna Deming, Dr. Leah (Ryan) Bruder, Olivia Beckman, Christina Beckman, Grace Beckman, Tiffany Sclesky, Chelsey (Jacob) David; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Beverly (Ross) Fitzner; sister-in-law Revelee Lakies; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Grand Blanc Huntsman’s Club.
