FARNEY, Lois Jean – age 88, passed away on March 22, 2018 in Flint, Michigan. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 3pm – 8pm at Hill Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Crestwood Memorial Gardens in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Lois was born on August 2, 1929 in Flint, Michigan to the late Peter and Helen Lee. She graduated from Flint Northern in 1947. On August 30, 1948 she married the love of her life Otis W. “Bill” Farney in Angola, Indiana. Together they built a life full of happiness and love. Lois worked at St. Joseph Hospital for over 25 years and was a member of Burton Senior Center. She loved to travel the world, making new friends at every corner. She had the ability to light up of the room wherever she went and make you feel like family. She never missed someone's birthday or a holiday and celebrated each one with a personal handwritten card. Lois was a very special person who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children: Shawn “Mike” (Karen) Farney, Bonnie (Stan) Morris, Dale (Sherry) Farney; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and her parents, Peter and Helen Lee. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
