MILLS, Michael Kent – of Millington, age 78, died Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 25, 2025 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Larry Spooner and Pastor Bryan Spooner officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Michael was born August 10, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to the late Jodie and Rosemary (Anderson) Mills. He grew up in Clio, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1964. Michael attended Mott Community College for his Journeyman Carpenter schooling. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Prior to his retirement, Michael was a Carpenter for Buick at Plant 25 with 32 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local 599 and also a committeeman at Buick. Michael was a longtime resident of Murphy Lake in Millington, Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and was an avid golfer. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Steve (Kelly) Lamb, Stefanie (Floyd) Quertermous, Michael (Susie) Mills II, Shannon Lamb; Grandchildren, Kyle Lamb, Jacob Lamb, Brad (Kristin) Quertermous, Sherri (Jeremy) Distelrath, Kelsea (Aaron) Hetzer, Kara (Kaleb) Thompson, Dustin Lamb, Desiree Anderson; several Great Grandchildren; Special Friend, Jean Jensen; Siblings, Tina (Chuck) Glumb, Eric Mills; several nieces and nephews.
