REED, Theodore W. “Ted” - Of Grand Blanc, age 72, died Monday, October 28, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 10am Saturday, November 2, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Road, Flint.
Reverend Brant Engel officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the American Legion.
Visitation 3-7pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 9am Saturday at church until the time of the service.
Theodore was born in Flint on May 21, 1947, the son of Robert and Martha (Bickel) Reed. On June 14, 1974, he married Elizabeth Dunn in Houghton, Michigan. Ted served in the United States Air Force. He was employed at AC Spark Plug as a Test Engineer. Ted was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was also a member of the choir. He was also involved with Boy Scouts of America as a Scout Leader. Ted was a life-long fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Lions.
Surviving are wife, Elizabeth;
Sons, Scott Reed of Grand Blanc, Steve and wife Cristina Reed of Syracuse, NY and Colin and wife Samantha Reed of Holland, MI;
Grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, Bryana, Anthony, Katherine, Owen, Ben, Amelia and Lilly;
Brother, Tom Reed of MI;
And nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim, and sisters, Nancy and Marge.
