CHURCH, Phillip – of Mt. Morris, age 82, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will welcome visitors from 11 AM until the time of the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, in Phillip’s memory.
Phil was born in Flint, MI on June 29, 1942, son of the late Clio and Mary (Phillips) Church. He married Kay Stearns on January 4, 1964. Phil worked at Buick Motor Division for 30 years retiring on May 3, 1992. He loved collecting and racing hot rods for many years. Phil enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Kay and Phil loved traveling and going to casinos.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Kay; children, Jeff Church, Debbie (Lee) Miller and James (Sheila) Church; grandchildren, Camryn, Alicen (Josh), Ari (Dom), Breana, Landon, Kennedy and Owen; great grandson, Jaxon; siblings, David Church, Loretta Jones and Dennis (Lynn) Church; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Todd Church, daughter-in-law, Shannon Church and brother, Gale Church.
