Beloved wife and mother went to her heavenly home Sunday, March 6, 2011 following a lengthy illness. Age 72 years. The daughter of the late Gilbert and Hildegarde (Werth) Rogers, Judy was born October 22, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. Judy graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1956. She married Raymond Reid, her loving husband of 48 years, June 8, 1963. He survives her. Judy was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone and at Second National Bank and later devoted her life to taking care of her family. Judy enjoyed reading, going to the movies and taking care of her cats. Most of all, Judy loved being with her family.
Surviving besides her husband Ray are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Jacqueline and Michael McQuaid, Saginaw; Raymond Michael Reid, Saginaw; Debra Ann Reid, Saginaw; a sister, Virginia and Robert Zwingman; a brother, Dennis and Ann Rogers; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Peter Reid and Kay Mann, Jean Sussi, Veronica Callahan, Gloria Reid, Judi and Tim Horzelski; many nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Rogers, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Anne Reid, and by a very special sister-in-law, Joan Reid Bissionette.
Honoring Mrs. Reid’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw County Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road.
