Tekiele, Alice A. – of Flint, formerly of Montrose, age 95, died Friday, April 9, 2021, at Western Hills Living in Flint. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, in memory of Alice, at 2 PM, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose. Rev. Fr. Anthony Brooks officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 12-2 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Alice was born August 11, 1925, in Montrose, Michigan, to the late Paul and Hazel (James) Terrell. She was a lifelong resident of Montrose and graduated from Montrose High School. Alice married Walter Tekiele on August 14, 1943. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1990. She retired from Fisher Body Coldwater with 27 years of service. Alice was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose and was a former member of All Saints Catholic Church in Flint. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, especially her sisters.
Surviving are: 2 sons: Tom (Lynn) Tekiele of Flushing, and Terry (Gayle) Tekiele of Fremont, Ohio; 4 grandchildren: Thomas P. Tekiele, Tamyra (Gene) Byrd, Christie (Mike) Raatz, and Lisa (Kendall) Rieman; 10 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; Sister, Audrey Spaulding of Montrose; Alice was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: Sedrick, Ellis, Mark, and James and 2 sisters: Marguerite and Doreen.
