NORDSTROM, Nancy Y. – of Clio, age 90, died peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Celebrant John Montney officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Nancy was born on November 25, 1934, in Russellville, Michigan, to the late Ronald and Ethel (DeWitt) Miles. Nancy graduated from Davison High School with the Class of 1953. On March 20, 1954, she married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Nordstrom. Together, they were blessed with two children and built a life filled with love, laughter, and companionship, sharing 68 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on February 2, 2023. She was a proud member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine, having joined in 1957, where she formed lasting friendships. Nancy spent more than a decade working in the insurance industry, but her greatest joy came from the years she devoted to her family as a loving homemaker and talented seamstress. Her hands were rarely still—always sewing, crafting, or knitting something special for those she loved. She had a true passion for knitting, and her favorite creations were always the ones she made for her family. Nothing brought Nancy more happiness than caring for her loved ones and spending quality time together—those everyday moments, full of laughter and love, were what she cherished most.
Surviving are: Daughter, Sheryl (Cary) Richardson; Grandson, Cameron Richardson; Granddaughter, Renley Richardson; Sister-in-law, Audrey Miles; Several nieces and nephews. Nancy was also preceded in death by her son, Richard “Rick” Nordstrom, in 2024, and her 6 siblings.
