BERLIN, DANIEL R. – of Grand Blanc, age 78, died Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Vicinia Gardens in Fenton.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Pastor Rob Wagner officiating.
Visitation will be from 10am Monday until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers and plants contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and the Diabetes Association.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Dan was born in Durand Michigan, on March 14, 1947, the son of the late Robert and Mary Berlin.
Dan married Margaret Scoble on March 8, 1969, in Flushing Michigan.
Dan was a proud worker for General Motors for 30 plus years, after retirement he became an apprentice with his son Doug at Berlin Electric.
Dan proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Dan loved music, especially gospel, and classic country. In his free time, he enjoyed going to car shows, boating and loved fishing with his family and attending local gospel concerts with his wife. He was a dog lover especially to his dogs, Popeye and Snoopy.
Although Dan had a big stubborn streak, he was very generous with his time and willing to lend a hand with many handy man jobs as he loved to fix things and help others.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret;
daughter Lori (Vincent);
granddaughter, Elizabeth;
grandson, Edward;
daughter-in-law, Jennifer;
grandsons, Dawson and Evan;
sister, Trudie (John) Browning;
brother, Rick (Debbie) Berlin.
He was preceded in death by his son Douglas, and his bother Terry.
