McNeill, Fred Lee - of Flint, age 71 died October 31, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2017 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home, Clio Chapel. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Fred was born August 31, 1946 in Carson City, Michigan to the late Cecil and Pearl (Beach) McNeill. He attended Clio schools. On July 24, 1993 he married Bernice Schanick in Flint, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 1996 he worked for GM for 30 years of loyal service. Fred was a member of the UAW Local 659, FOE Aerie #629 and also served as past President. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, crosswords and feeding the birds. The family would like to give special thanks to the FOE Aerie # 629 for all their love and support.
Surviving are: Wife, Bernice; Children: Penny McNeill, Frederick (Stephanie) McNeill, Michael (Stacey) McCann, Lori (Jeff) Pascoe; 9 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; Brothers: John (Katherine) McNeill, Robert Dean (Marilyn) McNeill, Dennis H. (Sharon) McNeill; Sister: Joyce Panek; several nieces and nephews. Fred also leaves behind many friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents.
