ESCUE, Harold Dean – of Burton, MI, age 79, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; The Rev. Russell Merrill officiating. Entombment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2021 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. A Memorial Service conducted under the auspices of the Davison Masonic Temple F & AM #236 and the Elf Khurafeh Shrine will be held 7 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, The Medical Team Hospice or St. Francis Episcopal Church, 313 North Grace Street, Bushnell, FL 33513, in Harold’s name.
Harold was born in Herrin, IL on February 22, 1942, son of the late Dallas and Madalyn (Addison) Escue. He married Sharon Beal on December 28, 1963. Harold was a graduate of Bentley High School Class of 1960. He retired from General Motors in 1998 after 35 years of service. For the last 19 years, Harold and Sharon have spent their winters in Bushnell, FL. Harold was a member of the Davison Masonic Temple F & AM #236, Elf Khurafeh Shrine and he was a co-founder of the Davison Tin Lizzie Unit. He loved golfing, riding bicycles and working at the Shrine Circus. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Harold is survived by his wife, Sharon Escue; 3 siblings, Sue Jackson, Judy (Rick) Nannie and Jim (Kim) Escue; 2 brothers-in-law, Jim (Jackie) Beal and Bob Beal; dear friend, Cindy White; several nieces, nephews, many other loving family members and good friends.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of The Medical Team Hospice for their compassionate and professional care of Harold.
