Francisco, Betty Y. – With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Yvonne Francisco, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Betty was born in Oxford, Kansas on June 18, 1935, and peacefully departed on March 31, 2024, at her residence in Flushing, Michigan. A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at 3PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Jamie Ballard will officiate. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 1PM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Betty’s memory.



Betty grew up in the Ozark Mountains on the family farm at Lead Hill, Arkansas and graduated from Lead Hill High School in 1953. She came to Michigan to live with her brother Bob and attended Baker College graduating in 1955. She worked for both Hurly Hospital and Mott Children's Health Center. Betty married the love of her life Robert Francisco, in a joyful ceremony in Flint, Michigan 1955. Betty was a devout Christian woman, dedicated to serving others through her involvement in the March of Dimes and lead a ministry for the disabled. Her generous spirit extended to tutoring those in need. Throughout her life, Betty's greatest joy came from caring for her family with unwavering love and kindness. Her family was her world, and she was their rock. Known for her heart of gold and impeccable character, Betty was described by all who knew her as nothing short of perfect.



Surviving are: Children: Steven Francisco, Rene Francisco, and Elizabeth (Micheal) Ballard; Grandchildren: Heather Mayville, Christopher Mayville, Nicole (Johnny) Earnest, Chad (Lindsey) Ballard, Jessica (Andrew) Palumbo, Amanda Ballard; Great Grandchildren: Adrianna Mayville, Johnny Earnest, Jayden Earnest, Avery Ballard, Luke Ballard, Aleena Palumbo, Myla Palumbo, Kaelyn Palumbo; Brother, Delbert Chappelle of Arkansas; Brother- In-Laws, Bill (Loraine) Francisco, Jerry (Carol) Francisco, Sister-In-Law Joyce (Holly) Chamberlin. She was blessed with several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents: Neal and Madeline Chappelle; Husband, Robert “Bob” Francisco; Daughter, Michelle Francisco; Brothers: Robert Chappelle, Claude Chappelle, and James Chappelle; Best Friend, Dixie.
