Beverly A. Heston, 81, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, January 22, 2011 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2011 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the mortuary. Entombment will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the family. She was born November 23, 1929 in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of George and Madeline (Hauman) Wise. In 1950 she married Basil Christner. She later married Jessie Heston in 1985. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Heston was a Sunday School teacher for forty years. She loved the Lord and enjoyed cooking and embroidery. Her last church membership was with Jesus Mission Church in Muscatine.
Survivors include children: David Christner, Karen (Dennis) Hebbeln, Sandy (Tim) Swanson, and Robert Christner; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Wise; two sisters, Phyllis Sutton and Shirley Moore.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Kittell; a son, Dennis Christner; and a sister, Delores Wannemacher.
