MURPHY, Ms. Joyce Marie - Age 67, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her residence. Ms. Murphy will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. She may be viewed Thursday, March 4,2021 from 2:00PM - 6:00PM. Ms. Joyce Marie Murphy was born on March 15th 1953 in Little Rock Arkansas , The Daughter of the late James and Janice Murphy. The oldest of 9 children Joyce left Little Rock Arkansas at a early age and moved to Flint Michigan with her family where she lived most of her life. Accepting Christ at a early age she loved the Lord, and his word. She attended Flint schools graduating from Flint Northern High School Class of 1972. Mom enjoyed being around her family playing with and entertaining her great-grand children. She also liked to read her bible, singing gospel, going to the day program everyday and watching her favorite game show Family Fued with Emanuel. She loved family cook outs and dining out. Mom enjoyed the life that God blessed her with. She leaves to cherish her memory only child loving Daughter Denise ( Emanuel ) Summers, 2 grandchildren DQuandre and Joelle 3 great grandchildren Aniya Skye Carter Seth , and soon to be born Baby girl Marie. 1 Sister Pamela Murphy. 4 Brothers Autry ( Deborah) Murphy, Tony ( Janice ) Murphy, Cedric Murphy, and Anthony Murphy , 16 Nieces and Nephews all of Flint a host of Aunts, Uncles and family all of Little Rock Arkansas. Ms. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents James and Janice Murphy. 3 Brothers Tyrone Murphy, Larry Murphy and Sherman Murphy. Grand Parents James and Nannie Pettus.
