MOSSMAN, Maryalice (Fairbanks, Bellant) – of Davison, age 88, passed away peacefully November 9, 2015 at the Pines of Burton. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Friday, November 20, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison ; Pastor Doug Klein officiating. Burial will be in Flushing Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Outreach East of Davison or the Genesee County Humane Society.
Maryalice was born in Flint, MI on January 29, 1927, daughter of the late Daniel and Pansy (Toms) Bellant. She graduated from Flushing High School in 1944. Maryalice married her high school sweetheart, Max Fairbanks in 1946 and they were blessed with three children. He preceded her in death in 1964. Maryalice married Marlin Mossman in 1970 and added two stepchildren to her family. He preceded her in death in 2001. Maryalice enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing and time spent in Tawas with family and friends. She especially loved time spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was an excellent cookie baker. Maryalice was a friend to all and everyone will remember her beautiful smile.
Maryalice is survived by her children, Connie (Tom) Price of Davison, Diane McBride of Texas, David (Donna) Fairbanks of Battle Creek; stepchildren, Ron (Carolina) Mossman of Flushing, Carole Hunkins of Flint; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Pearline) Bellant; sister-in-law, Ola Bellant; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, infant Charles A. Bellant, Edith Edenburn, Bette Murphy, Charles N. Bellant; her beloved Yorkie, Casey. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Pines of Burton and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care of Maryalice.
