LAYTON, Marilyn – of Davison, age 82, passed away December 5, 2017 at Hampton Manor in Davison. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1 PM Monday, December 11, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 AM until the time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
Marilyn was born in Richfield Twp., MI on January 28, 1935, daughter of the late Kenneth and Florence (Taylor) Lawrence. She married Michael Papp and he preceded her in death. Marilyn then married Freddie Jean Layton and he also preceded her in death. She worked as a comptroller at GM until her retirement in 1995. Marilyn also loved animals.
Marilyn is survived by her brother, Kent (Charlene) Lawrence; one step-daughter, Lucinda(Todd) Woods; one step-granddaughter, Karissa (Scott) Pupava; three step-greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Hoover; and her step-grandson, Kyle.
