WENTWORTH, Robert H. – of Burt, age 73, died on Monday, May 3, 2021 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be held 1PM Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at New Covenant Church – 13176 N. Linden Rd., in Clio. Pastor Dan Shinabarger officiating. Burial to follow in Cook Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 1PM until 8PM, and at the church on Tuesday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the IPF Foundation.
Robert was born December 16, 1947 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Howard and Margaret (King) Wentworth. He graduated from Clare Pioneer High School and later graduated from Saginaw Valley State University and Delta College. Robert married Jasmina Hozic on June 26, 1974 in Darmstadt, Germany. Mr. Wentworth is a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force Veteran. He retired from General Motors - AC in 2006 with over 29 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #651. Robert was also a faithful member of New Covenant Church in Clio. He loved fishing, reading, and all the life experiences he gained while traveling. Robert enjoyed bird watching and learning new things and as much as he could about everything. He taught drivers ed, tutored, learned to become a truck driver, and even taught English while in Korea. Above all, Robert loved his family, had the kindest heart, and would do anything to help someone in need.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Jasmina Wentworth; Sons: Alvin Wentworth, and Geoff Wentworth; Daughter, Nina Wentworth; 3 grandchildren: Cassie, Jacob, and Parker; 1 great granddaughter, Delaney; Siblings: Mary, Julie, Clint, Howard, Jerry, and Sandi; Sisters in law: Azra and Amira; Brother in law, Mugo; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
