Havrilla, Norma S. of Flint, age 92, died Tuesday, June 11, 2019, peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and beloved dog, Maxie. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 6, 10 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Flint.
Norma was born in Durand, Michigan on March 27, 1927, the daughter of Earl and Sylvia (West) Alldaffer. She married Bob Havrilla on August 26, 1971. Norma worked at AC Spark Plug, retiring after 30 years. She was a long time member at First Presbyterian Church, Flint. Together with her husband Bob, enjoyed traveling and spending winters in St. Petersburg, Florida. Norma loved hosting parties and gathering with family and friends. She had a heart for animals and often cared for and nurtured many strays. Norma’s beautiful gardens will remain a source of much joy. Her love of life and infectious smile endeared all who knew her.
Norma is survived by her husband, Lloyd Robert; daughter Carole Fults and Debra Burger; step-son, Robert Havrilla; grandsons, Andrew and Joseph Havrilla, great-grandchildren; Lillian, Isaac, and Alex; sisters-in-law, Betty Craig, Dee Poindexter and husband Ron; nephews; Steve and Richard. She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Fults.
The family would like to express deep appreciation to The Medical Team Hospice for their excellent care.
