DEPOTTEY, Wyman – of Burton, age 83, passed away April 11, 2015 at Genesys Convalescent Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Francis Faraci celebrant. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Tuesday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 PM Monday. A Memorial Service under the auspices of the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus #4090 will be held at 7 PM Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Rosary Fr. Robb Trust Fund.
Wyman was born in Flint, MI on March 31, 1932, son of the late Merwyn and Ada (Talcott) DePottey. He married Joanne Dubuc on April 19, 1952 in Flint. Wyman was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a 4th Degree member of the Davison Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and old cars.
Wyman is survived by wife, Joanne; children, Linda Ayers, Sue (Eric) West, Janice Boughner, Brad (Peggy) DePottey, Ron (Corey) DePottey, Tim (Bridget) DePottey, Tom (Sandy) DePottey, Roy (Sue) DePottey, Jim (Jenny) DePottey, Karen DePottey, Kevin (Tammy) DePottey; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Karla Pierson. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Rick Ayers.
