Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his home. Age 66 years. Son of Elizabeth (Berish) Yatch and the late Joseph Yatch, David was born March 8, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. He married Mary Jane Schultz on July 3, 1971 at St. Josaphat Catholic Church in Carrollton. She survives him. Dave was employed at Pendell/Quebecor Printing Inc. in Midland with 36 years as a top performing salesman. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching and especially his family. Dave’s greatest joy was entertaining family and friends at his home on Lake Cecil.
Surviving besides his wife Mary Jane are two sons and one daughter, Jason and Valerie Yatch, Saginaw; Amy and John Sosville, Lakewood, Colorado; Jared Yatch and his girlfriend, Jessica Welkenback, Mackinaw Island; four grandchildren which were his pride and joy, Ava and Alexis Yatch, Anna and Flynn Sosville and future grandson due in January; four brothers, Joseph and Laura Yatch, Midland; Edward Yatch, Florida; George and Sherrie Yatch, Midland; Jerry and Sheri Yatch, Midland; brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Stan and Joyce Schultz, Saginaw; Kathy and John Smith, Midland; several nieces, nephews and special friends; and also a special furry four legged friend, Benny. Dave was preceded in death by his nephew, Adam Yatch, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stan and Mary Schultz.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Brigid of Kildare Parish, 207 Ashman St. , Midland, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Patrick C. O’Connor will officiate. Honoring Mr. Yatch’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Brigid of Kildare Parish building fund or the family wishes.
