HATT, Orville. - of Mt. Morris, age 86, died Monday, January 1, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, January 5, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Full military honors will be conducted under the direction of the Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post #1452 and American Legion Neeley Labar Post #158 of Clio. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 4PM until 8PM and Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Orville was born January 25, 1931 in Highland Twp., Michigan to the late Stanley and Margaret (Cross) Hatt. He married Caroline Harsen July 27, 1951. Mr. Hatt is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. Orville retired from AC in 1996 and was a member of the UAW Local #691. He was also employed with D&W Awning and Window Co., Flint Tent and Awning, and Flint Permanent Awning. Orville enjoyed spending time outdoors - fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a very hard-working man. Above all, Orville loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Caroline Hatt of Mt. Morris; Children: Carol (Ken) Johnson of Jupiter, FL, Emma Hatt of Mt. Morris, and William (Nannette) Hatt of Birch Run; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Ervina Eaton, and Jeanette Smith. Orville was also preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Hatt; 3 sisters, and his favorite fishing buddy and brother in law, Ed Wardwell.
