Mr. Sylvester Tony Davis was born June 15, 1932, in Kennett, MO. The son of Louis Gardner and Margaret Brown. Later, he was lovingly raised by his adoptive parents Will and Sarah Davis.

Mr. Sylvester Tony Davis attended Central High School in Hayti, MO and graduated in 1951. He later went on to join the United States Air Force where he served 4 years. Tony relocated to Flint, Ml and began working for General Motors where he retired after 38 years.

Mr. Sylvester Tony Davis was united in holy matrimony to Rosie Lee Boyd on June 10, 1956, and they shared 60 years of marriage before her passing. He was a man of faith and loved Jehovah and dedicated his life to be a Jehovah Witness. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. Tony enjoyed listening to some smooth Jazz and watching western movies, football, tennis and basketball. As a lifelong lover of basketball, he proudly served as a referee in the city of flint from 1955 to 2000. During those decades he became known as one of the city's finest and most respected officials mentoring young athletes and upholding the integrity of the game. Tony didn't play on that court and didn't tolerate any disrespect! He was liable to call a tech on you if you looked at HIM crazy. In recognition of his lasting impact, he was honored in 2025 at Greater Flint Youth Development all Sports Gala.

Mr. Sylvester Tony Davis leaves to cherish two daughters Sherry Miller, Mageela (Steve) Wheeler two son Sylvester (Christina) Davis all of Ml, Demetrius (Lanasha) Davis of TX. One sister Betty Brown of Krikwood, MO. 15 grandchildren Carmen Davis, Johanna Powell, Lea Josey, Lamar Powell, LaQuayla Blade, Kaiesha Laury, Sunsae Davis, Demonte Davis, Noah Davis all of Ml, Demetrius Davis Jr of AZ, Tasheara Davis of TN, Jazmine Davis, Alexus Davis, Evan Davis and Ava Davis all of TX. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

Mr. Sylvester Tony Davis was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Rosie Lee Davis; biological parents Louis Gardner, Margaret Brown; adoptive parents Will and Sarah Davis; three brothers Billy Alford, Don Alford, Bobby Wallington and son-in-law Larry Miller.

His 93 years of life was a blessing, his memory a treasure and his love, a gift that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
