Rebecca (Becky) D. Peterson, age 43, of Oquawka, IL died Sunday May 22, 2011 at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg. The family will greet friends and family from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha. Cremation rites have been accorded and private graveside services will follow. Memorials may be left to the Henderson County Humane Society or the charity of the donor's choice. She was born March 8, 1968 to Rodney and Lorraine Langston Peterson. She attended Alwood schools and graduated in 1987. Becky enjoyed working as a Certified Nurses Aide at Hillcrest Nursing Home until May of 1988.
Becky was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Lorraine (Noel) Cain of Alpha, Il, 2 sisters; Gina (Sam) Peach of Neponset, Il, Robin Peterson of Louisville, Ky and one brother, Rodger Peterson of Alpha, Il, one niece, Ashley Peach and one nephew, Chase Peach, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
