JACOBS, Robert Preston - Age 71, of Fenton, formerly of Otisville, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held 3PM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Rev. Ann Norton officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM Wednesday and 11AM until time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church of Fenton or American Cancer Society. Robert was born October 27, 1946, in Flint, the son of Harold and Wanda (Rutledge) Jacobs. He graduated from Kearsley High School in 1964 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Vietnam War. Robert was a member of the Flint VFW. He worked for GM Truck and Bus for over 30 years, retiring in 2001. He was an avid poker player and enjoyed going to the horse track. Robert married Sue Wager Barden on November 30, 1991 and they lived in Otisville before moving to Fenton in September. He is survived by his wife, Sue; four children, Tiffeny Harris of Wyoming, Shelley (Chris) Fike of Arizona, Stephanie (Colin) Bordner of Linden, David (Kelly) Barden of Lake Fenton; former exchange student "daughter", Susanne (Basti) Boysen and their daughter Mia of Germany; seven grandchildren, Dain (Holly), Cheyenne (Dewy), Carter, Mason, Chance, Raegan, Finley; six great grandchildren, Jayden, Harley, Avah, Sawyer, Emmalyn and Hannah; brother-in-law, Bob (Joyce) Wager; nephew, Ted (Katrina) Wager and their children, MayLynne and Malachi all of Millington; step-brother, Norm (Mary) Tate of Michigan; step-sister, Sheila Bristol of Florida; step-sister-in-law, Lee Tate of Ohio.
