ANDERSON, Joan A. – of Clio, age 78, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday, September 10, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Bruce Malicoat officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2PM until 8PM and on Monday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or the American Heart Association.
Joan was born April 8, 1940 in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Levada (Kester) Guest. She married James M. Anderson Sr., on July 21, 1962. He preceded her in death July 1, 2006. Joan attended West Forest United Methodist Church in Millington. She was a wonderful woman and loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are: Son, James Anderson Jr. (Charlene); Daughters: Levada (Mark) Mitchell, and Carrie Scott; Grandchildren: Michael, Ryan (April), Alex (Stephanie), Justin, Jamey (Christi), Jerry, Andrew, Samantha, Owen, and LeAnn; Great grandchildren: Quinn, Rocky, Murphy, Paisley, and one on the way; Siblings: Harrison (Genevieve) Guest, June Teeples, Fredy (Cheryl) Guest, and Jeanne Nitz; Many other loving family members and dear friends. Joan was also preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Morgan. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for all their love and care.
