CANTRELL, Lawrence Albert "Larry" - Of Flint, age 86, died Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Detroit Receiving Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Larry Green officiating.
Burial in Tanner Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Grace Harvest Church.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lawrence was born in Sikeston, Missouri on December 28, 1934, the son of the late Louis and Patricia A. (Bowe) Cantrell.
On January 1, 1959 he married Carolyn Iris Krueger in Flint and then on February 14, 1988 married Wilma in Flint.
He was a former member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and was a current member of Grace Harvest Church.
He spent his winters in Florida, which he enjoyed very much.
He loved gardening and yard work.
Surviving are wife, Wilma;
children, Martin Cantrell,
Andrew (Amy) Cantrell and
Christian (Emily) Cantrell;
13 grandchildren, Lisa Cook, Peyton and Shelby Cantrell, Megan Bond, Rachel Quintenilla, Baron Cantrell, Sunny Cantrell, Sarah Cantrell, Jason and Aaron Cantrell, Carolyn and Leah Cantrell and Jessie Ward;
8 great-grandchildren;
siblings, Alice Adams and David Cantrell
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Carolyn, in 2007; son, Stephen Cantrell, in 2020; siblings, Thelma, Alma, Delma and Frank.
