In Loving Memory of Patrick Vernon Humphrey
Age 88, of Owosso, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael O'Brien officiating and military honors to follow. Patrick will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. The family invites friends to gather for visitation on Monday from 5pm to 8pm.
Born on September 9, 1937, in Flint, Patrick was the beloved son of Vernon and Rosella (Brennan) Humphrey.
He proudly graduated from Flint Central High School in 1955, where he began laying a foundation for a life filled with adventure and service.
An avid outdoorsman, Patrick found joy in hunting, fishing, and simply appreciating the beauty of nature. He also cherished quiet moments spent with a good book, lively outings to the casino, and cheering for his favorite sports teams. Above all, Patrick treasured his family and embraced every moment spent creating memories with them.
On May 31, 1969, Patrick married his soul mate, Bonnie Jean McMichael, in Owosso. They shared over 53 wonderful years together before her passing in 2022.
Patrick proudly served as a Police Officer for the Genesee County Police Department and later as a Security Guard for General Motors, exemplifying his commitment to the community.
Patrick is survived by his loving children, Debra Voss, Jeff, Bryan, Michael, Ralph, Joel (Lisa), and Cameron Humphrey; along with several cherished grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Bonnie; his brother, Leslie Humphrey; and his parents.
