DZURAK, George - age 94, died November 9, 2015. Funeral service will be held 1 PM Friday, November 13, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or Disabled American Veterans. George was born December 25, 1920 the son of George and Eva (Varga) Dzurak. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Military Police during World War II. George married Evelyn Granger on November 12, 1949. He retired in 1985 from RA Shaw and had previously been employed by 7 UP Bottling and CW Driggette's. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and playing cards. Surviving are: wife, Evelyn; two children, Alan (Betty) Dzurak of Swartz Creek, Debbie (Dennis) Lakies of Goodrich; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Aaron) Andres, Lisa (Wayne) Dilts, Keith Dzurak; four great-grandchildren, Adam, Damon, Isabella and Dominick; sister, Emily Raper of Panama. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and four sisters. Friends may share online tribute with the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
